New method for measuring complex transmission or reflection coeffi?cients has been proposed and demonstrated using a simple setup. High measurement quality was achieved: phase sensitivity- 0.005 rad., ampli?tude reproduceability — 1%, dynamic range to ~ 107-: 1G (previously 104), phase shift range to be measured 10 . It is effective for BWT-Spec-troscopy due to the absence of any mechanical adjustments during electronic frequency scan.

For heterostructures compounded from the narrow — gap semiconductors such as quantum wells,superlattices, quantum wires, quantum dots, et cetera, Klein’s effect is investigated in the framework of one — particle Dirac the?ory. Dirac electron is considered in quantum well of different configuration. It is shown that if electrical field exceeds the critical value, then the elec?tron -hole pair generation is occured. It is shown the influence of the form of potential barrier on the pair generation. The more exact investigation of Klein’s effect requires the use of many — body quantum field theory and is connected with the behaviour of vacuum.

Pulsed chemical oxygen-iodine laser with discharge generation of atomic iodine is described. Having the output energy like that with photolysis iodine atoms generation such a laser exhibits higher plug-in efficiency, The efficiency value of 91% is reported. Pulsed power of lOOkW was obtained which exceeds two orders of magnitude that for CW laser with the same chlorine flowrate.

№ 45 ATTENUATION LENGTH OF FAMILIES AND EAS AT MOUNTAIN LEVELS

Zenith angle distribution and attenuation length derived from 586 y-families (groups of the highest energy particles in extensive air showers) and published recently by the PAMIR Collaboration differ from the previous data. In present paper the influence of the measurement procedure and statistics on the attenuation length is discussed. Several different methods of calculating this quantity are considered and the results are compared. The data of the PAMIR experiment as well as the* attenuation length of the y-families and extensive air showers (EAS) found by the experiment HADRON are compared with the simulation results. Simulations were made using three different models of hadron-nuclear interactions that distin?guished mainly by the dependence of the total inelasticity on energy. The accuracy of the well-known equation for the at?tenuation length, which is derived from the analytical solution of the cascade equations, is discussed. The data considered favor the model with rising cross section and total inelasticity.

The results of simulation of proton flux,passing through emulsion chambers (EC) with a light material thick target and without any are discussed. It is shown that in the first case the energy threshold region where the measured spectrum differs essentially from the true one is several times wider. This may be a reason of distinction in views of spectra obtained on emulsion chambers of different types.

№ 57 NUMERICAL SIMULATION ОF THE CURRENT SHEET NEAR THE X- l.INE OF SOLAR SPOTS MAGNETIC FIELDS.

The current sheet (OS) creation in the region with an X-type aero magnetic field line in the plasma was simulated by numerical solving of ЗП MHD equations in conditions which were close to the solar corona: the magnetic field sources (dipoles) were situated under the photosphere boundary! and the disturbance propags from the photosphere boundary, borne of values 10,p,Vj were set on the photosphere boundary, other values were determined from the conditions inside the region and were found by using solutions on characteristics going out of the region. After the OS creation it slowly moved upward, but several Alfven times later the OS motion practically ceased, and the plasma velocity changed its direction above the sheet, so the plasma flow became got into the 0? from both its sides. In the case if the magnetic dipoles have such a polarities that there is no X line the JS is not creatac, and *.he wave of disturbance goes out of the region during several Alfven times. The calculations have been done using the program ?PERESVET?, which solves numerically 3D MHD equations and determines the boundary conditions from characteristics.
