The physical reasons of anomalously large P-wave enhancement in pp interaction at low energy and in pp reaction near threshold are revealed. For this the total, elastic, annihilation and charge-exchange cross-sections of pp interaction, energy dependence of real-to-imaginary ratio for forward elastic pp-scattering amplitude, shifts and widths of IS- and 2P-levels of pp-atom, and also total, differential cross-sections, polarization of Л<Л> in PP ЛЛ reaction near threshold are calculated using coupled channel model and compared with LEAR data. It is shown that the common reason of observable P-wave enhancement in all these processes is the existence of nearthreshold P-states of quasinuclear nature in nucleon-antlnucleon and hyperon-antihy-peron systems.

A new form of equations of notion is suggested for d=4 massless fields of all spins interacting with gravity: equations of all massless fields, including the gravitational field itself, are described in terns of a free differential algebra constructed from 1-forms and O-forms belonging both to the adjaint representa?tion of the superalgebra of higher-spin and auxiliary fields proposed previously by E.S.Eradtein and the author. In this construction, l-forms describe gauge mass-lees and auxiliary fields, while O-fbrnB describe lower-spin fields and weyl ten?sors corresponding to gauge Worms. The equations of motion are constructed explicitly in the first order in the Vfeyl О-гопю (and in all orders in 1-forras) that exceeds significantly the results of refs./l,2/ en the cubic higter-spin-gra-vitaticnal interaction. The equations obtained are shewn to remain consistent when all quantities take on their values in an arbitrary associative algebra. This enables us to describe simultaneously a class of extended-type theories with Yang-Mills gauge groups UMxUM corresponding to massless spin-i fields (n is arbitrary), various consistent truncatiLcra of these extended theories are also discussed including those wittt Yang-Mills gauge groups SO(n)xS0(n).

The behaviour of the thermal electrons escaping from a hot plasma to a cold one during a solar Bare is investigated. We suppose that the direct current of fast electrons is compensated by the reverse current of the thermal electrons in ambient plasma. It is shown that the direct current strength is determined only by the regular energy losses due to Coulomb collisions. The reverse4;urrent electric field and the distribution function of fast electrons are found in the form of an approximate analytical solution to the self-consistent kinetic problem of the dynamics of a beam of escaping thermal electrons and its associated reverse current. The reverse-current electric field in solar flares leads to a significant reduction of the convective heat Sux carried by fast electrons escaping from the high-temperature plasma to the cold one. The spectrum and polarization of hard X-ray bremsstrahlung, and its spatial distribution along flare loops are calculated and can be used for diagnostics of flare plasmas and escaping electrons. 1 Send offprint requests to B.V. We justify the 6*-model partition function representation for the open superstring effective action (EA) for massless vector fields. We first consider the open Bose string theory and interpret Mobius infinities present in on-shell amplitudes before Mobius gauge fixing as a part of power 2-й UV infinities of the regularized Возе string theory. This helps to clarify the relation between the partition function Z and the KA. We find that in the Boae string theory Z does not exactly coincide with EA (they differ in one of FaPJP -terms). This difference (connected with the fact that the open Bose string Uoblus Уо1гдте Is linearly divergent) disappears in the open superstring theory where the superMoblus volume Is finite. The cancellation of power infinities in the superstring theory implies the absence of Mobius infinities and hence the possibility to compute the superstring amplitudes without fixing a (super) Mobius gauge. This proves the equivalence between the renormalized Z and the EA (renormailzation of pure logarithmic infinities corresponds to subtraction of massless exchanges). This equivalence is checked by explicit computations and applied to establish the absence of the leading field strength derivative dependent correction WiF f(P) to the Born-Infeld tent: in the open superstring EA (there aie, however, МРадаЧ*?-terms In the EA). We also emphasize the advantages of the S* -model approach based on the generating functional Z over the standard vertex operator approach. In particular, we find that the manifeatly 2-d supersymmetrlc and ga?uge invariant Z (defined as the 2-d expectation value of the 1-d supersymmetrlc generalization of the tr P exp -factor) automatically contains the contact terms which is necessary to add to the 3tandard expressions for the amplitudes in order to ensure their 3-d supers;/mmctry and gauge invariance without need tc rely on malytic continuution in momenta.

The density of K-, L-, M-spectra measured In the experiments (~ 15 16 10~10 quanta) is compared with calculation results of the conversion of laser radiation into X-ray radiation of the laser plasma. The obtained results aLlow to optimize the laser-plasma source of soft X-ray radiation, particularly, for the back-lighting scheme of the high-temperature dense plasma diagnostics.

(O.6-l.S) . The influence on the LDF form of air density altitude variation is analyzed. The concentration dependences of quantum yields of He2 luminescence have been measured at optical excitation of H2Xe gaseous mixtures in the spectral region from 146 to 150 nm. The branching of photochemical reactions and the shares of Qu and Iu/Qu states in the luminescence of molecular xenon at 172 nra are found. The constants of Xe*2(Iu/Qu), Xe*(3P2) and Xe*(3P2) quenching by a molecular hydrogen are measured. A kinetic scheme of the relaxation processes in excited xenon at E* <~ 8.5 eV has been developed.

The general procedure of computing the mess-leas tadpoles is given. The crucial role of renormalization of Mobius infinities on the disc is stressed. The laser traditions of Lebedev Physical Institute date back to the very beginning of quantum electronics of microwave range /1/. The scientists of Lebedev Institute carried out the pioneer investigations in the field of semiconductor lasers (including injection lasers) /2, 3/, excimer,-gas-dynamic and chemical lasers on chain reactions /4, 5/, and autonomous chemical lasers /6/, electroionization lasers /7/, lasers on copper vapours /8/. In the field of nonlinear optics the Lebedev Institute has the priority investigations on the self-refraction of radiation /9/, stimulated Rayleigh scattering /10/, the phase conjugation concept /11/. The pioneer laser investigations have stimulated the field of applications, such as laser thermonuclear fusion /12/, intracavity spectroscopy /13/, laser chemistry /14/, optical frequency standards and so on. The scientists of the Institute have made a significant contribution into the development of nonlinear dynamics of laser and other optical systems /16,17/. Here we report the modern state of laser research at Lebedev Institute which is most close to the topics of the present conference.

А grand unified theory (GUT), interacting with the 2 quantized gravltational field within the R -gravity model, is considered. The quantum gravity contributions to the renormalization group equations for the effective couplings of the gauge and gravitational selfinteraction and for the scalar coupling constants are calculated. It is shown, that account of the interaction with the quantized gravitational field loosens restrictions imposed on the theory for achieving the asymptotic freedom and makes it possible to construct more perfect models of grand unification, which are asymptotically free in all the coupling constants.

We show how to express the closed string tree amplitudes and effective action in terms of the correlators in the 2-d sigma-model. The subtraction of Mobius infinities corresponds to taking d/dlnЕ ( E is a 2-d UV cutoff) of the regularized correlators. The effective action is represented as the integral of the «central charge» coefficient thus demonstrating the equivalence between the S-matrix and sigma-model approaches to string (tree) equations of motion. The ?d/dlnE?- prescription provides a consistent way of computing tree tadpoles on non-trivial backgrounds emd hence of studing string loop corrections to the equations of motion by equating the full tadpole to zero.

It is shown that in the case of pointlike boundary conditions the result of the computation has a natural interpretation and it can be compared with the result of operator calculation? The ultraviolet and in?frared singularities of the propagator are considered.

А divergence of the electric-discharge XeCl laser with UV-preionisation radiation has been studied for generation pulse duration t-70 ns and Т^ЗОО ne (FWHM) (pump power density has been varied from 0,1 МИ/сm3 to 0,4 MW/cm3). It has been obtained that the divergence is practically independent. from component’s composition (ИС1, Xe, Ar, Ne) and gas mixture pressure. The divergence of plane-resonator XeCl laser radiation with pulse duration t=300 ns was 3’10»-‘red5 at the pulse duration t=70 ns the divergence was 5*IO rad for plane resonator and 1,4.10 rad for unstable telescope reso?nator with magnification M*3. An estimate of рump power density non-uniformity along the active medium apperture t’lat does not increase beam divergence 1s obtained.

A scenario for the evolution of a high-dense post-inflationary universe in ihe framework of the electroweak theory is suggested. 1’he temperature at which the baryon-number nonconserving procescces are frozen is found as a function of the fermion density of the sistem, vith the result that at high density the freezing temperature can be much lar?ger than its zero-density value T*~200 GeV. Thanks to this fact the high density оf the universe nay remain unchanged up to the last stage of decay of squarks and sleptons, et T<200 GeV, At this time previous large baryon asymmetry is erased only the originated from the decay the scalar fields being left.
