№ 30 ASMPTOTIC DENSITY MATRIX ELEMENTS OF THE CANONICALLY TRANSFORMED OSCILLATOR НАMILTONIAN IN THE FOCK BASIS

We study the asymptotic behaviour of the equilibrium density matrix elements corresponding to a Hamiltonian obtained from the oscillator Hamiltonian by a linear canonical transformation. The exact expressions and asymptotics of overlap integrals of the wave functions of a quantum harmonic oscillator Hamiltonian describing vibrational states of two-atomic molecules wore calculated by using of the-coherent states representation [«1.2] in refs.[3-4j. The authors of those papers obtained also relative intensities in the vibronic spectra of the molecules. Furthermore, they obtained asymptotics of the rotator wave functions for large quantum numbers, ( quasiolasslcal asymptotics ). The exact expressions for transitions amplitudes between the energy levels of the parametrically excited oscillator were calculated in ref. [5]. In ref. [б] the matrix elements of the equilibrium density matrix of the quantum oscillator subjected to a Bogolubov canonical transformation were calculated exactly in the Fook basis. The aim of this paper is to study the asymptotic behaviour of the matrix elements of the quantum oscillator equilibrium density matrix in the Pock basis for large quantum numbers. In essence we use the results obtained in refs. [1-5J for the evolution operator but reformulate then In terse of the density matrix, We also obtain the asymptotic expressions for the two-dimensional Rerwite polynomials.

It is shown that mechanism of low energy antiproton scattering from nuclei Is given by Glauber model, including Coulomb effectsс the cross sections for elastic and inelastic (with excitation of nuclear level) scattering of p from 12C and 160 and also for elastic scattering from 40Ca and 208 are calculated without any fro* parameters. Calculations are in good agreement with LEAR data. She differential cross section e for nuclear level excitation with a given spin projection of excited nucleus on beam direction are also predicted. A new method has been devised for a wide-range continuous frequency tuning based on the self-stabilisation of the single-frequency lacing. Using this method we Inves?tigated the Doppler-free saturation resonances arising due to optical pumping of the ground-state sublevels on D-lines of potassium, rubidium and caesium. She spectral resolution achieved is limited by natural linewldth of the resonance atomic linens.

The curvature ?-quanta emitted la the pulsar magnetospheres tangentially to the curved lines of force of the magnet lo field are shown to be later canalised along the magnetic field — if it is strong enough, В > 0.1 Ber = 4.10 Gg — by gradually converting into a mutually bound electron-positron pair, i.e. a positronium atom. This happens before the photon reaches the threshold of free pair creation. The positronium thus arisen is stable against the ionising action of the electric field near the pulsar unless it reaches a critical value about 4*10 CGSE for. This prevents the screening of the electrlc field up to the distan?ces from the pulsar, where the magnetic field is already below the value of 0.1 Вcr and the free pair creation mау Ьcause essen?tial. This effect provides a higher theoretical estimate for the total luminosity of pulsars (whose field at the surface Bs exceeds 0.1 Bcr) as compared to the conventional one.

Properties of generalized (х Z2))n — graded Lie superalgebres are considered. In particular, the relation le described between algebras with different N, as well as between their automorphisms, conjugations, involutions etc. A number of «Z2x^Z2 -graded generelized Lie superalgebras, containing the de Sitter subelgebras 0(3,2) and 0(4,1), are constructed. It is shown that most of these algebras do not have unitary maseless-particle representations. A class of Z2xZ2 -graded algebras Is found possessing unitary massless-particle representations and leading to consistent super-gravity theories. It is demonstrated, however, that these theories are equivalent to the usual aupergravlty theories being connected with them by appropriate Klein transformations. Twe curious algebras are found, leading to supergrevity theories possessing ghosts in the fermion sector only.

The Idea that there exists a deep correspondence between supersymmetry and the division algebras А,л, V 1, 2, 4, 8, Is shown to apply to the notion of harmonic superepece which, having been introduced recently, has revived hopes for constructing d 10, N= 1 super Yang-Mills theory in a superspace off the mass shell. In the present paper, a uniform construction of harmonic superspaces associated to the algebras A in proposed whloh reproduces the known approach to d=4, N = 2 theory provided the quaternions are used, while for d=10, N =1 thecry. On this superspace, we refornulate the equations of notion and also identify a torsion of an almost complex structure on the sphere S6 as an obstruction to constructing a Lagrengian of the type which exists in d=4, N=3 theory. The maximally extended theory in three dimenssions is also discuseed.
