The spectrum of collective excitations of an incommensurate charge density нате (ICDW) is considered in the framework of the phenomenological approach taking into account commensurability effects. A model in which commensurability effects lead only to spatial variations of the phase of CDW in the ground state of the system is investigated. In this model the superstructure of IODW consists of domains in which CDW is almost commensurate with the original lattice, separated by domain walls («solitons»). Two modes of collective CDW oscillations are shown to exist in such a phase: an optical mode with a gap due to commensurability effects and a gapless acoustic mode which can be interpreted as oscillation of the domain walls. The transition to a commensurate case is investigated. The applicability of the model to real systems is discussed.

The conditions are found In which the degree of proton polarization is equal to 100%. The optimum values are found of the pulse duration and the field strengths of the exciting and ionizing light waves.

Resonant ionization of atoms by a weak electromagnetic field has been described in our previous paper /1/. In the same paper the main equations (1-30) and (1-38) have been derived which describe the resonant ionization process in a strong field including the atomic spectrum perturbation phenomena (The double numeration similar to (1-30) here and everywhere bellow concerns the formulae of ref./1/). Here we reproduce the solutions of these equations corresponding to the physically different regimes of resonant ionization. In 1,2 the instantaneous swltching-on model is analized in details. The resonance broadening is described due to a)the finite pulse duration (i.e. the laser field nonmonochromaticity), b) the resonant mixing of the main and excited levels (the field broadening), c) the excited level ionization (the ionization broadening), d) the total ionization of atom. In the third paragraph the laser pulses with a smooth envelope are considered. The new mechanism of a resonance broadening appears in this case, connected with the time variation of quasienergy levels position in an external field with the varying amplitude. The theory is shown to be in accordance with the known experimental data. However in a whole the experimental information about the resonant ionization-available now is not sufficient for complete comparison with the theoretical predictions.

The process of creation of the particles with maximally big masses (maximons, intermediate bosons) in the nonstationary Universe in the frame of scalar (neutral and charged) field theory is considered. As it was shown, if there exists such a mechanism of maximons creation, these particles must be stable. These particles (maximons) can be the final states of decayind black holes. A possible mechanism of cosmic rays creation as a result of «vacuum» generation of known unstable particles is discussed. In the frame of approach, of ref. 1-5 the limits of the mass and the life time of intermediate boson is obtained. It is shown that the masses ~>,10 Gev.

Compiled are the main results on high energy hadron processes obtained to date (June 1978) within the framework: of the multiperipheral cluster (both resonances and fireballs) scheme proposed and developed at Lebedev Physical Institute. They include the results of the analytic calculations, the elaboration of the definite model of inelastic processes based on these results, the computer Monte-Carlo simulation of inelastic events (with complete information about each particle) according to the model and their comparison with ail available experimental data of inelastic pp and tip interactions in the energy range from 28 to 200 GeV. It is demonstrated that the multiperipheral cluster mechanism of inelastic processes is strongly supported by experiment.

Here we consider the possibility of obtaining beams of polarized atomic nuclei with resonance ionization of atoms by circulary polarized electromagnetic radiation. Section 2 treats the principal conditions necessary to obtain polarized nuclei. While discussing the essential point of polarisation in the case of the resonance ionisation we consider the S-F-D transition in a hydrogen atom as an example. The general conditions of achieving selective transitions between superfine structure states are discussed. The requirements for the degree of monochrometicity, strength, and pulse duration of the exciting light field are clarified. Section 3 treats the quantitative characteristics for three cases when the superfine structure is allowed In the cut of both principal ground and excited states or one of them. The numerical results for H, Li6 and Li7 atone are given. The requirements for ionizing field are discussed. Section 4 gives some remarks on realization of the method of resonance ionization.

We analyzed the nonuniqueness of variational formulations (Lagrangians, Hamiltonians, actions) of a given system of classical equations of motion. We give a critical review of ideas and results on this matter up to this date. We show in a manifest way that this nonuniqueness leads to the existence of infinitely many different quantum systems corresponding to one and the same classical system. We suggest a new method of quantization based on the classical integrals of motion but free from Lagrangians and Hamiltonians. In the known cases our method is equivalent to the conventional ones. Finally we discuss possible criteria in the choice of the action! e.g. the additivity principle. Several examples (free particle, linear friction, particle in a magnetic field) are considered in detail.

Two new pulsars PSR 0320+39 and PSR 1839+56 are detected at Puschino Radio Astronomical Observatory of Lebedev Physical Institute. Both pulsars are rather strong at 102 MHz observing frequency. The peculiarities of PSH 0320+39 are long period 3.033 sec and high pulse energy, which allows ones to investigate the radio emission of individual pulses.

A mathematical nodal of regulation of cell division 1в suggested, the model is based on the hypothesis that the process giving rуthe to the cell division is located in the cell membrane. This process is the process of free-radical exidatien of membrane lipids. It depends much en the physical state of the membrane. In the membrane phase transitions take place due to the change of Its lipid composition. These transitions differ in normal and tumour cells: in normal ones they are sharp and hysteresis owing to the presence of a framework on the surface of the membrane, while in tumour ones the integrity of the latter la violated and so the transitions are smooth. This modal makes it possible to explane difference in regulation of normal and cancer cells.
